The Professional

Bachelor's Degree - You will be able to conduct reconnaissance, surveys, studies and research of a physical-geographical, biogeographical, anthropogeographical and geoeconomic nature, in addition to general and special studies in the areas of Geography, such as the reconnaissance of regions, natural resources, management of hydrographic basins, ecosystems, territorial, urban and rural planning and environmental studies. You will also be able to act as a University Professor.

Teaching Degree - The Geography course trains graduates to work at institutions of education, both school and non-school, both in the field of teaching, as a teacher of basic education, and in other spheres of educational work. This professional training includes investigative experience and reflection on political and cultural aspects of educational activities.

Integralisation

AA - Bachelor´s Degree in Geography
The student needs to register a total of 201 credits to graduate in this course, equivalent to 3,015 hours of supervised activity, in addition to dedicating 45 hours to distance activities, amounting to a total of 3,060 hours, which can be integralised in 08 semesters (Evening Geography) in accordance with the proposal offered by the unit for concluding the full curriculum, the maximum integralisation period being 12 semesters (Full-Time Geography) or 16 semesters (Evening Geography).

AB – Teaching Degree in GeographyThe student needs to register a total of 243 credits to graduate in this course, equivalent to 3,645 hours of supervised activity, which can be integralised in 10 semesters (Evening Geography) in accordance with the proposal offered by the unit for concluding the full curriculum, the maximum xx period being 12 semesters (Full-Time Geography) or 16 semesters (Evening Geography).

AA – Bachelor´s Degree in Geography
Recognised by Ministerial Order CEE/GP n° 450 of 14/11/2002 and renewed by Ministerial Order CEE/GP n° 451 of 17/10/2011.

AB – Licentiate Degree in Geography
Recognised by Ministerial Order CEE/GP n° 450 of 14/11/2002 and renewed by Ministerial Order CEE/GP n° 451 of 17/10/2011.

Credit limit for six-monthly enrollment

Maximum of 39 credits (Full-Time Geography) and 35 credits (Evening Geography) per Academic Period
